The Roaming Hog

On their IG feed last week was a ticket giveaway for BeerHoptacular and I won! Two free tickets for craft beer and food trucks. What could be sweeter?

After about a half dozen delicious beer samples, it was time for food, so we took in what the fest had to offer. Five solid trucks, plus directly in front of me as I stepped out the doors was this rolling beauty. Earlier I spied some folks eating what looked like a pile of meat on naan. Well, people...this was it.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Or lunch. And pork. Because there was no way I was passing up that pork on naan. And holy hell, it was even better than it looked. Perfect naan, great seasoning on the pork, and the cilantro and cucumber put it over the top.

I had to save room to show my support for Dönermen (also to drink more beer!) because I was here thanks to them, but there were plenty other menu items that I wanted to try. Loaded tots, or that grilled cheese, both tops on the list. Oh, the pork mac and cheese fritter also sounded amazing. And the hog rub fries.

Aw hell. I’m getting hungry!
